Itinerary

Adventurous Manaslu Circuit begins from Kathmandu to Machhekhola direct bus at 6 am and 8 am from Bus Park which is a public bus for 8 to 9 hrs. Whereas there is an option much better available you can take the bus to Jeep for 6-7 hrs, Your guide will come to your hotel to pick you up and take you to the bus station.
The real trekking is starting, you will walk after Himalayan breakfast across the corner of the Legendary trail along the Budi Gandaki River. We gonna witness many wildlife and langurs as you enter the forest trail. Many cultural monuments as well as mountains in scenery.
We will follow the Budigandaki rivers again: since early morning we can see Mount Sringi from Hawa Dada with its impressive picturesque front. After crossing the river the beautiful busy Philim village welcomes you with Buddhist prayer flags whereas city facilities you with your permits checked, a bank, lots of mixed culture, and government administration. The trail is beautiful, with unique sculptures, Leaving the riverbank, for Tsum Valley trek proceeds through rhododendron forests, Himalayan pine, and the overhanging rocks on the towering peaks such as Budhha Himal, Himal chuli, and Dudh Pokhari Valley.
The Trek leads you to beautiful Tsum Valley. We will comfortably start trekking ahead from the village of Lokpal and climb up over a beautiful ridge inside the jungle with the majestic view of the Shringi Himalayas and the backdrop of Mount Ganesh is quite an enchanting experience. We will lunch at Chumling village which is known for the best views of the Majestic Shangri Himal, Budhha Himal, and Legendary Ganesh Himal. The trail then continues to the various territories of the region to arrive at Dumje. We will stay at a Dumje overnight.
After breakfast, the first phase will stride up until reach beautiful Chakampar for about two hours, The trek will then take you to the beautiful Upper Tsum Valley. We will surpass beautiful stunning villages, Buddist Monuments, and Piren Phu cave with the backdrop of Ganesh Msaaive. The Nile village settlement is located at the foot of a rocky cliff. Again trek starts smoothly because of the high altitude from Nile Chule as we trek to Mu Gompa the uphill hike takes you to the largest gompa of the region and the last settlement of Humans along another monastery in the corner. After being there we will witness the historical monastery-related religious Kangyur, different statues of Tara,  and Guru Padmasambhava and Avalokiteshwara. After lunch, we will take another short 1 hr hike to Nun’s Monastery, with beautiful snowcapped mountains as well as culture.

The trail is about to descend today through Rachen Gompa from Mu-Gumba again. The offbeaten trail passes through a beautiful nunnery village located in the Shiar Khola Valley again it cajoles us to amass beautiful pictures of adjoined human activities and houses.
Today comparatively easy the first few hours before crossing the Budi Gandaki River. After that we kept climbing for about hours until to reached Rana village then we followed the relatively easy trails until Gap village.
This trek passes through dense jungle and requires you to climb a steep ridge that takes you through a forested trail before arriving at Namrung village we can have tea with a luxurious resort as well the best taste of food if not early. This town is famous for Thakali people who have been serving the greatest food for Nepali people for a long time. Trekkers will acknowledge various Buddhist landmarks in the region, including chortens prayer flags and mani walls, today we will pass Simnang, and then pass through Sho village where we can see the first glance of Migty Mt. Manaslu, Nike Peak, and many mountains.
The day starts at first glance with an excellent Mount Manaslu view from the Lho hotel. A journey to the foothills of Mount Manaslu Samagaun takes you through the village of Shyala which is famous for its 360-degree spectacular of the Manaslu range at 3400m and the Manay mountains. Before reaching there we will pass through the jungle we might encounter Himalayan water deer, and many mountain Goats. After arriving at the village of Sama Gaun passing the Pungen Glaciers, and pine trees we will go for lunch and rest for a while. Then by the time of 4 o'clock, we continue our hike of Ribung Gompa, Birendra Lake awe-inspiring views of the high Manaslu glaciers, and wild animals will leave the travelers enchanted by Nature in the high Himalayas. We will back to the hotel stay in the Sama Gaon teahouse for the night and prepare for another exploration Acclimatization day.
Big day but worth a day for Hiking and explorations in the vicinity of Himalayan Culture and Nature. Today we pass through the majestic Budhi Gandaki River towards the last settlement of borders Himalays. This trek will lead you to Larkya La Pass narrow valley; whereas trails get relatively easy but remember that you are walking at a high altitude so act as leged as you are. We will follow a few first hours the Budhi Gandaki River and then cross the ridges to arrive at Samdo, a beautiful village. After lunch if you feel great enough then we can climb Samdo viewpoint for the beautiful Manaslu North view as well Manaslu Valley view, it is worth every small step.
Early morning with the beautiful surrounding view will continue our trek from Samdo to Dharamsala. We will then continue to pass legendary trails to Tibet and hike upwards. After crossing we surely encounter some water streams, Monmouth, and beautiful birds such as eagle, and Pleasant until reach Larkya glacier in the valley before arriving at Dharamshala. We will explore the Larke Phedi and can hike on a hill but too windy there and we can feel the serenity of the Mountains and rest for the evening.
Today, we need to wake up early to pass the highest point of our trek, The first few hours of the trail lead you on an ascending to Larkya glacier's north side, in summer we can see Glacier Lake as well there are majestic views of Larkya Peak both sides. We will continue to ascend until reach the top of Larkyla -la. Then finally descend through a ridge near a glacier that moves steeply across the pass. Finally, the Larkya-la offers us views of Kanggru, Himlung Himal range, Annapurna, and Cheo. and many other spectacular peak views and Lakes as well. The second part of the descended trek is quite challenging since you have to continue a few hours down ie. various low pastures that you need to cross before you arrive at Beaufiul Valley just backdrop of Manaslu and many other mountains. Today we are following another valley landscape of the region. The track descends for a few hours across a stony glacier and a moraine The trails then lead you through the dense forests of a mixture of pine, and Rhoderdon flowers the reason to engage with you is the different vibe of Nature. This trekking route will provide you with again last view of Manaslu, Larke, Nadi, and Chuli Himal at the top of the horizon. The first few hours of the morning It is a dirt road from Dharapani -Besishar about 4 hour's drive. Once we were at Besishar the paved road started the onward journey.

Manaslu Circuit Trek’s Best Season

Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit

3. Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP Permit)

  • ACAP Entry Fee for SAARC: NRs. 1000 per person

Food and Accommodation

While staying in Kathmandu, there are plenty of options for food and accommodation, from the cheap to the luxurious food and accommodation you can find in the city area. At the Manaslu trekking trail, you can find several locally owned lodges and tea houses. This lodge/tea house provides food and accommodation options for the trekkers. 

Rooms in tea houses are simpler than what you’d find in the city. The rooms usually have twin beds, and the bathrooms are shared, often with squat toilets. They give you only a few basic things. Even though the facilities are basic, you’ll still feel comfortable. Unlike hotels in Kathmandu, where WiFi and electricity are usually included, you might have to pay extra for these services at tea houses.

Food options in the Manaslu include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. You need to maintain a balanced diet and always eat hygienic food. It’s not a good idea to get sick in between the hikes by eating junk food.

Breakfast: The breakfast set includes bread toast, chapati, or Tibetan bread with hash brown potatoes, a choice of egg (boiledIt’somelette), and a hot beverage (tea or coffee). Also, you will have the option of Tibetan Bread, Pancakes, Cereals, Paratha, etc.

Lunch and dinner: Dal Bhat is the most popular lunch and dinner menu in the trekking trails of the Nepalese Himalayas. Also, you will have the option for Momo, Chowmein or Noodles, Thukpa or Thenthuk, Potato dishes, Rice with curry, Fried Rice, Pasta or Spaghetti, Pizza, etc.

Beverage: hot drinks and cold drinks, including local and some international alcoholic beverage options, are available at the lodge/teahouse.
